Abstract Submission

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submissions are invited for the following presentation types:

Oral Presentation
Standard format oral presentations given during symposia sessions.

Poster Presentation
Standard posters will be displayed throughout the duration of the conference. Presenters should be prepared to give a short presentation at the poster session.

Symposia Topics

Presentations on any aspect of molluscan research will be considered. Oral presentations will be aligned with the following broad symposium topics in the conference program:

Humans and Molluscs - Future Proofing Uses and Interactions

Evolutionary Applications – Understanding Relationships Using Big Data

Biodiversity and Conservation (including what to do about SREs)

Ecological Outlooks

Citizen Science - Engagement and Outreach

Extreme Environments

Submission

You will be prompted to submit the following information during the online submission process:

    submitting author will be considered the lead presenter and corresponding author

    Presenting Author Biography

    maximum 100 words (1500 characters, including spaces)

    Abstract

    without subheadings, should be in the following form: Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusion

    Conflicts of Interest

    any conflicts of interest need to be declared during the submission process – an abstract is not to be used as advertising any specific product or service

    Consent to reproduce presentation

    PDF or presentation recording to be distribute to delegates registered for the conference

    \

    Opportunity for Travel Grant

    advise if you would like to be considered for travel grant (seperate application also required)

    Instructions

    • Overall word count must not exceed 350 words (2500 characters, including spaces).
    • Abstracts are to be submitted as text. You can either type the details into the text box provided or copy and paste the text from a word document. No tables, graphs or pictures can be submitted. Do not include abstract title of author details in the text box.
    • The abstract should be submitted in the lead presenter’s name.
    • Correspondence will be via the submitting author only.
    • Not all abstracts submitted will necessarily be accepted for presentation.
    • Check spelling and grammar. Submitted material will be published in the conference program booklet as is – the abstract should, therefore, contain no errors.

    The submission deadline is 31 August 2024 Extended to 20 September 2024.
